Certification and Accreditation

CMIT Ireland’s leading distance learning college provides distance learning courses which are approved by or lead to certification by the following Educational Bodies, Professional Bodies and Organisations.

QQI (Department of Education and Skills in Ireland)

College of Management and IT (CMIT) is authorised to offer Distance Learning programmes leading to QQI awards on the National Framework of Qualifications. Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), was established in 2012 by law and oversee qualifications in Ireland. In the area of qualifications, QQI is responsible for maintaining the ten-level NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications). QQI is also an awarding body and set standards for awards they make in the NFQ. QQI validate education and training programmes and make extensive awards in the Further Education and Training sector. QQI also make awards in Higher Education mainly to learners in private providers. In the area of quality assurance, QQI is responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of quality assurance in further and higher education providers in Ireland. Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)

CMIT is an ILM approved training centre and is authorised to provide distance learning courses which lead to ILM awards, certificates and diplomas. ILM is Europe’s largest provider of leadership , management and coaching qualifications. Their leadership and management qualifications are delivered by over 350 higher and further education colleges in the UK and Ireland. All ILM qualifications offered by CMIT are awarded by the City and Guilds of London Institute and are on the UK Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF). Qualifications made on the RQF can be compared to the Irish National Framework of Qualifications in terms of the level of the award. Project Management Institute

Managed by the Project Management Institute, PMP is the leading global standard for project management certification. Recognised and demanded by organisations worldwide, the PMP validates your competence to perform in the role of a project manager, leading and directing projects and teams. Project Management Institute is the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession. Founded in 1969, PMI delivers value for more than 2.9 million professionals working in nearly every country in the world. CIW™

CMIT is a registered Distance Learning college and approved CIW distance learning course provider. CIW is a worldwide leader in IT certification. With over 80,000 CIW certifications it is recognised as the standard Internet certification by academic institutions and companies. Students can earn CIW certificates in various Information Technology (IT) job roles, from the foundational CIW Associate certification, continuing to CIW Professional and specialization certifications, and up to advanced-level Master CIW certifications. NCFE Awards

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland, and the Qualifications, Curriculum and Assessment Authority. ABC Awards

ABC Awards and Certa Awards endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process. ABC Awards and Certa Awards have long-established reputations for providing high quality vocational qualifications across a wide range of industries. ABC Awards and Certa Awards combine over 180 years of expertise combined with a responsive, flexible and innovative approach to the needs of our customers.

Courses have been designed by Kendal Publishing to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications. At the end of courses successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course). Courses have been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Kendal Publishing has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of courses alone does not lead to a regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked against level descriptors published by OFQUAL, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

CompTIA™

CompTIA is the Computing Technology Industry Association with over 20,000 members worldwide. The CompTIA A+ certification is the world standard entry-level qualification for computer technicians and engineers, recognised by employers everywhere. It validates IT hardware and software technical skills and confirms a technician’s ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and networking.
