I studied web design with CMIT. It is interesting and I hope it leads me to change my career in the future. The units cover everything that I need for completing the course. The assessment tasks were built in a very logic way and the test website is useful. My tutor is James Chapman, I could not wish for a more helpful tutor as he gives a great support. I do not need to wait long time for his feedback or respond, his explanations are clear and easy to understand.

I choose CMIT because it offered a QQI Qualification it was reasonably priced and I could do it online at times that suited me. The course was very informative. Although I found some of the written assignments a little confusing, my tutor cleared up any confusion I had regarding them. My queries were always responded to in super fast time and the information given was clear and concise. I am very glad I completed this course and I now have additional knowledge to add to my skill set.

I found James Chapman to be incredibly helpful. He was so great at reassuring me. I had been out of the study loop for some number of years and he helped me refocus my efforts on getting through the course. I found it be a good challenge at self discipline. The other staff were amazing too at accommodating me when work was busy and I was unable to find time. An additional week was allotted so I could finish up the course and give it proper attention. I found the content interesting and educational and I find WordPress to be a brilliant tool for creativity and design.

I found the course very interesting and it follows a logical and quite sensible structure. I had not written academically for seven years and I found this course to be easy to follow and it helped me to modernise my outdated web design skills and I found it to be very interesting revisiting the history of the Internet and the development of the WWW as I had grown up during that era of web revolution. I definitely benefited from a background in HTML and basic web design. I would like to commend James Chapman for being so helpful as a course tutor.

I needed to learn rapidly the skills to develop a web site for a local charity and distance learning provides me with a flexible way to learn. I was looking specifically for a WordPress course and CMIT offers this in a flexible format - starting when I needed to start and working at my own pace in my spare time. The course was straightforward and easy to follow. Having an example web site to refer to is a great idea as you can see exactly what can be achieved, I am happy with the current format of the course.
