Part of the requirements of the scheme, stipulate that Childcare Leaders and employees must hold certain childcare courses in order to qualify for the scheme. The certification offered by this course fully meets the educational requirements for childcare staff who need to comply with the requirements of the ECCE Free Preschool Scheme.  You do not have to complete the QQI Childcare QQI Level 5 to enrol on this course.  You will need to hold a level 6 Major Award (or equivalent childcare courses) in order to be a Room Leader. This course has been very informative and I have learned a lot from it. The staff could not have been more pleasant to deal with. I found CMIT online and called the office several times before deciding to undertake this course. I found all the staff that I spoke to, to be very friendly, informative and helpful, this helped me to choose CMIT for my educational needs. The course was competitively priced also. I cannot compliment my tutor Gemma Healy highly enough. I had read so many negative reviews regarding online study (in general) with many students dissatisfied with their tutors response and knowledge. This was not my experience at all, in fact mine was completely opposite. Gemma was so responsive and helpful she was not only extremely knowledgeable in her field but offered support and advice and has a friendly approachable manner. I am so grateful to her. I found all the staff that presented the webinars to be engaging and informative and very helpful when completing the assessments.
