About the Course


This course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to run, manage and deliver effective training programmes. This course leads to a national award Level 6 Train the Trainer Certificate (ref. E31079) from FETAC. CMIT is registered with FETAC to offer programmes leading to FETAC awards in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.


How the course is delivered

This course is delivered through elearning, and is fully tutor supported for the duration of the course. The Tutor, Gerard Coll (BA. H.Dip Ed.) is a qualified and experienced Trainer and Lecturer. His role is to provide you with support throughout the duration of the programme, assess your work and provide feedback on your assessments.

 

By choosing to study this course with CMIT, Students have 24x7 access to CMIT eLearning for the duration of the course. This includes comprehensive course manuals, videos, quizzes and access to your Tutor. You will also be able to upload assessments online and receive Tutor feedback. Who should complete this course?

  • Experienced trainers who wish to receive an approved National Qualification.
  • Those already involved in training development, delivery and wish to receive an approved National Qualification.


Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
  • Leaving Cert (or equivalent) and/or relevant life experience.
  • Participants must have experience in training, and be able to draw from this experience.
  • As this programme is delivered through distance learning, students must be capable of studying on their own initiative.
  • A basic working knowledge of computers and access to a computer with internet access is required to do the course.

Transfer and Progression to Further Studies

  • This course leads to a level 6 component award on the National Framework of Qualifications.
  • Students who successfully complete this programme may use this Level 6 component certificate as credit towards a number of FETAC Certificates including: Business Management (BMANX), and Administration (BAXXX). For more details contact us.


Assessment

  • This course is assessed through completion of an assignment (which involves development and delivery of a training session) and a skill demonstration (at a CMIT assessment centre).
  • As part of our quality assurance, assessment work will be marked by an Internal Assessor, then checked by an Internal Verifier and an independent FETAC External Authenticator.


Learner Protection

  • CMIT is subject to section 43 of the Qualifications Act 1999 and as such, has put in place appropriate arrangements in place for the protection of learners on FETAC programmes which have a duration of three months or longer, should CMIT unexpectedly cease to provide such a FETAC programme. To comply with this, CMIT has either:- (1) arrangements in place with at least two other FETAC registered organisations so that learners may transfer to complete their programme, or (2) a Bank Guarantee is in place so that learners may be refunded.



Accreditation

  • Following successful completion you will receive a FETAC Level 6 component Train the Trainer Certificate (ref. E31079).
  • The Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) is the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland. CMIT is registered with FETAC to offer programmes leading to FETAC awards in the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland.
