Course Details

This course is designed for students who wish to gain an understanding of environmental resource management and its benefits for business. The course will help employees to understand how their work impacts on the environment and what they can do to improve their company's policies towards this ever important issue by helping to reduce their company's carbon footprint. Students will learn how to: (1) implement biodiversity, (2) preserve and reduce energy use, (3) reduce carbon footprint, (4) manage waste, and (5) develop action plans for organisations to reduce carbon footprint.

This programme takes a multidisciplinary approach to current issues of global environmental concern. It is relevant to those who are concerned with the management of resources and the making and implementation of policies that have an environmental impact at local, national and international levels.

Assessment

  • This NCFE certificate is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments.


Accreditation

  • At the end of this course, successful learners will receive a level 3 NCFE Award certificate in Managing Environmental Resources. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. A UK Award at level 3 is roughly equivalent to a FETAC Level 5 Award.
