This programme is designed for people who wish to gain or improve their skills in photo journalism and marketing their images and copy to a range of published media.
The objective of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to produce professional standard photo journalistic articles and to know how to market them. During the course students will examine two key elements: (1) the practice of freelance journalism and the skills of gathering news, and (2) combining photography and writing to produce reports and articles for publication.

Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
Assessment
- This NCFE certificate is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments.
Accreditation
- At the end of this course, successful learners will receive a level 2 NCFE Award certificate in Photo Journalism. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
