About Us


Established in 2004, College of Management and IT (CMIT) is the leading provider of certified / accredited elearning and distance learning education in Ireland. CMIT was the first distance learning college to become FETAC registered and the first to offer FETAC qualifications through eLearning. Our aim is to provide the opportunity for people to gain a recognised qualification in the most convenient and flexible way possible, while providing clear value for money.


Quality Standards


CMIT are delighted to announce a successful external monitoring review by FETAC in July 2009. On receiving the full report from FETAC, we are very pleased with the extensive list of best practices outlined in the report. We are highly committed to quality assurance and the report reflects our standards and efforts. A key function of FETAC is to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the provider's quality system to ensure the integrity of FETAC awards. FETAC are currently undergoing a review of all FETAC providers and aim to prepare and publish all completed reports on their website.
CMIT is delighted to announce a 100% Pass Rate to date, for all Students who have completed FETAC courses with CMIT. Students have graduated with FETAC qualifications in the areas of Web Design, Supervisory Management, Business Planning, Managing People, Event Management, Photography, Project Management, Business Management, Childcare Supervision and Conflict Management.

College of Management and IT (CMIT) has agreed its quality assurance procedures with FETAC and is registered with FETAC to offer programmes leading to FETAC awards in the National Framework of Qualifications. The Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) is the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland.

CMIT Learning's approved Training Programmes and Trainers have been placed on the FÁS/EI (Enterprise Ireland) National Register of Trainers. The registration number of CMIT Learning is 903710 and the registration expiry date is 29/03/2013.

NCFE

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. Accreditation is offered through Studyhouse a registered OCN centre. NCFE awards Levels, 2, 3 and 4 roughly equate to FETAC levels 4, 5 and 6 respectively. The National Open College Network (NNCFE) is one of the UK's foremost provider of accreditation services for adult learning and is a QCA, CCEA and ACCAC recognised national qualification awarding body providing NQF qualifications. Ascentis

Ascentis

Ascentis is a UK awarding body providing genuine accredited awards, and is licensed by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Accreditation for Ascentis courses is provided by NCC which is a licensed UK Ascentis centre. Ascentis awards Levels, 2, 3 and 4 roughly equate to FETAC levels 4, 5 and 6 respectively. CompTIA™

CompTIA is the Computing Technology Industry Association with over 20,000 members worldwide. The CompTIA A+ certification is the world standard entry-level qualification for computer technicians and engineers, recognised by employers everywhere. It validates IT hardware and software technical skills and confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and networking. CMIT provides the Thomson ILT Series™ of approved CompTIA courses.

Cisco™

The widely respected IT certification programs available through Cisco Career Certifications bring valuable, measurable rewards to network professionals, their managers, and the organizations that employ them. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) validates knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with 100 to 500 or more nodes.

Travel courses are provided in conjunction with IAOT who provide approved programmes and courses.
Telecommunications Industry Association is the accreditation body for Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) and Certified in Convergent Network Technologies (CCNT)
